Primary & animal industries focusLead strategic initiatives0.6 FTE, location flexibleAbout The RoleEverest People are seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced senior leaders to provide strategic and operational leadership for the NZ Pet food Association.This is a hands-on role combining strategic leadership with practical delivery. You’ll manage operations, lead key initiatives, and ensure the smooth running of an annual national conference.You’ll work closely with the Chair and a small, committed team to support members, strengthen stakeholder relationships, and deliver on the organisation’s strategic goals.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide strategic oversight and ensure effective delivery of organisational initiativesLead operational planning and logistics for the annual conferenceOversee work allocation, administration, and execution of agreed actionsBuild and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholdersChampion sector-wide initiatives, foster collaboration and represent the organisation’s voiceAct as a key contact point for members and external partnersThe General Manager role is location-flexible within New Zealand; however some travel will be required. Proximity to a major airport is therefore advantageous.Skills And ExperienceYou’ll bring:Demonstrated leadership experience with excellent communication and relationship management abilitiesSound business understanding, including financial and budgeting experienceStrategic thinking and an ability to deliver operational outcomesA proactive, professional, and adaptable approachExperience in the primary industries, animal sector, advocacy, or regulatory environments will be highly valued.A degree qualification is desirable, though extensive relevant experience will also be considered.Apply via SEEK here.
