We are currently looking for a General Manager (Fit-Out Contractor) with a strong background in fit-out contracting to lead our dynamic team and drive operational excellence.Job Overview:We are seeking a seasoned General Manager (Fit-Out Contractor) to oversee our fit-out contracting operations, with a special focus on managing authority approvals, inspections, and full project lifecycle delivery. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience executing high-end retail, hospitality, commercial, and villa projects, ensuring works are completed to the highest quality and safety standards while exceeding client expectations and meeting commercial objectives.Key Responsibilities:Lead, manage, and oversee all aspects of fit-out projects, from tendering and planning through execution, snagging, and handover.Handle all authority approvals, submissions, and NOCs with relevant UAE bodies including Dubai Municipality (DM), Civil Defense (DCD), Dubai Electricity & Water Authority (DEWA), Dubai Development Authority (DDA), Trakhees, Abu Dhabi Municipality (ADM), Abu Dhabi Civil Defense (ADCD), TAQA, Dubai Integrated Economic Zones (DIEZ), and various free zones.Coordinate and manage all site inspections by local authorities, ensuring strict compliance with UAE codes, health, safety, and regulatory standards.Develop and execute operational strategies to improve project timelines, resource efficiency, and cost control.Prepare, manage, and monitor project budgets to ensure profitability and mitigate financial risks.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, landlords, and other stakeholders to secure repeat business and grow the company’s reputation.Lead, mentor, and support project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors to drive performance and uphold quality standards.Ensure all fit-out works, including structural, MEP, and finishing components, meet company and project specifications.Champion health and safety practices across all projects, ensuring compliance with HSE regulations and site safety protocols.Manage snag lists and ensure all issues are resolved promptly before project handover.Qualifications and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.10-15 years’ experience in the fit-out contracting industry, with at least 5 years in a senior management position within the UAE.Extensive knowledge and practical experience dealing with local authorities and approval processes, including DM, DCD, DEWA, DDA, TRAKHEES, ADM, ADCD, TAQA, DIEZ, and various free zones.Strong track record delivering premium fit-out projects in retail, hospitality, office, and luxury residential/villa sectors.Excellent leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive teams toward shared goals.High commercial acumen with expertise in budgeting, cost control, and ensuring project profitability.Effective communicator with strong English skills; Arabic is a plus.Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and project management tools (Primavera / MS Project).Valid UAE driving license.Interested?
