Role DescriptionThe General Manager (GM) is responsible for overseeing the overall operations, strategy, and performance of the organization to ensure sustainable growth and profitability. This role provides leadership across all departments, ensuring alignment with corporate goals, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong leadership, financial management, and business development skills who can drive results through effective decision-making and team empowerment.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the company’s daily operations, including finance, sales, production, marketing, and human resources.Develop and implement strategic plans that align with corporate objectives and drive business growth.Lead and mentor management teams to ensure effective coordination and execution of organizational goals.Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational efficiency and profitability.Drive financial performance by managing budgets, controlling costs, and identifying opportunities for revenue growth.Ensure compliance with corporate policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement within the organization.Oversee supply chain, production, and service delivery to ensure quality and operational excellence.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, business partners, and key stakeholders.Analyze market trends, competitive positioning, and customer needs to inform strategic decisions.Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and market expansion strategies.Prepare performance reports and present business updates to senior leadership or the board of directors.Manage risk and ensure contingency plans are in place for operational continuity.Promote employee engagement, professional development, and a positive work environment.Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and community engagements.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree or MBA preferred).8–12 years of progressive experience in business management, operations, or leadership roles.Proven track record of managing teams, driving profitability, and achieving organizational objectives.Strong strategic planning, financial analysis, and decision-making capabilities.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and cross-functional teams.Proficiency in ERP and business analytics systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Power BI).Deep understanding of operational processes, financial reporting, and market dynamics.Strong negotiation and relationship management abilities.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.Commitment to integrity, innovation, and continuous business improvement.
