Our client is a recognized player in rail transport and logistics, providing transport solutions "all-inclusive" by relying on a team of experienced employees with a perfect knowledge of the railway world as well as an in-depth understanding of its customers' products, particularly in the paper, aggregates, automotive, agri-food, steel and chemical sectors.Promoter of railway renewal in France and a driving force in the development of local rail operators, OUR CLIENT is one of the pioneers of rail renaissance.In order to support our strong growth in a rapidly changing sector, we are looking for a: General Manager Rail Multimodal, Belgium Description :Reporting to the Group CEO, you assume the role of General Manager of the Belgian subsidiaries operating in the freight forwarding and logistics businesses, assuming operational, commercial and social responsibilities.In agreement with the CEO, you are in charge of defining the development strategy and put in place the action plans necessary to reach your objectives.Our client is looking for a strong 'Business Development / Commercial' dimension in the management of major European key accounts, particularly in France, Italy, the Benelux, Germany, and the Nordics.However, we are also looking for a profile genuinely involved in operations — someone present with their teams, hands-on, pragmatic and field-oriented.Your missions would be : Management of a P&L and its sales developmentManagement of a team: 4 peopleProvide complete and appropriate Transport solutions (including full service solutions integrating railway transport, storage, handling…) for every customer in order to boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels and profitabilityPresent, promote and sell services / solutions using solid arguments to existing and prospective customersEstablish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationshipsAchieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within scheduleAnalyze the territory/market’s potential, track sales and status reportsSupply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.Organize and energize the teams on your perimeterOptimize and make more reliable the processes, in order to control the costs of the activityEnsure excellence in service and promote the image of societyManagement of budgets, operations, and P&LAnticipate changes, analyze the competition and the evolution of the national and international market, analyze the underlying trends, and define a long-term strategy to prepare the company for future challengesProfile :Post-degree training (Master in Logistics, Business School…)At least 5 years in Sales Manager position in Freight Forwarding industry (necessarily including Rail Freight)Proven work experience as a sales representative for international companiesGood knowledge of railway processes and wagon management (GCU…)Familiarity with CRM practices along with ability to build productive business professional relationshipsHighly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in salesExcellent selling, communication and negotiation skillsRelationship management skills and openness to feedbackFluent in Flemish, English and French; German is a plus would be appreciatedCertificate of Professional Competence as a Freight Forwarder (Compulsory)📍 Belgian Labour contract - The position involves a regular presence at the group headquarters in Belgium where the main teams in charge of Freight Forwarding are located, with frequent trips to France and the European Union.Engaged manager combining technical rigor and taste for fieldwork, your leadership shall help to convince and train teams and departments to implement structural changes. Having been involved in organizational transformation projects is a guarantee of success in this position.
