Primary job title: Textile Machine Operator (Fabric Production)About The OpportunityA role in the Textiles & Apparel Manufacturing industry — fabric production and processing sector focused on weaving, knitting and finishing operations. This on-site production position supports end-to-end fabric manufacturing, quality control and shopfloor reliability to meet customer specifications and delivery timelines.Role & ResponsibilitiesOperate and monitor textile production machinery (looms, knitting machines, winding/cutting units, finishing lines) to meet daily output targets.Perform in-process quality checks (visual & measurement), identify fabric defects, and apply AQL-based rejection or rework processes.Carry out routine machine setup, changeovers and basic mechanical troubleshooting to minimise downtime and maintain process stability.Coordinate with supervisors and maintenance teams to report faults, escalate issues and support corrective actions for recurring defects.Maintain accurate production records — output, rejects, machine parameters — and update shopfloor logs or ERP as required.Follow safety, housekeeping and compliance procedures on the shopfloor; participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives.Skills & QualificationsMust-HaveLoom operationKnitting machine operationFabric inspectionDyeing process knowledgeCutting and finishingMechanical troubleshootingPreferredERP systems (production/Shopfloor)Textile testing (AATCC)Lean manufacturingQualificationsDiploma/ITI in Textile Technology, Mechanical, or equivalent practical experience in fabric production.Proven experience working on fabric production lines (weaving/knitting/finishing) with exposure to quality and shopfloor processes.Comfortable with rotating shifts and on-site, physically active work (standing, lifting up to site norms).Basic computer literacy for production logs (MS Excel or shopfloor data entry).Benefits & Culture HighlightsOn-site role with structured shopfloor training and clear production-to-supervisor career progression.Compliance with statutory benefits (PF/ESI) and shift allowances as applicable.Hands-on, collaborative manufacturing culture focused on safety, quality and continuous improvement.Location & WorkplaceIndia — On-site manufacturing facility.
