Business Sector: Agri FeedsJob Title: General Operative - Dan O'Connor FeedsJOB PURPOSE: Enable the business to achieve the agreed targets within the business functions of forklift driving, Industrial Cleaning, lorry loading and machine operations.REPORTING TO: Production ManagerLOCATION: Dan O'Connor Feeds, LimerickRESPONSIBILITIES:Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to the following:Through the industrial cleaning process ensure the plant is kept to the highest standard while working to targets set out under our UFAS accreditation.Forklift driving through loading of lorries or general upkeep of the production siteKnowledge of machine operations to ensure cover can be provided during breaksEnsure the plant is kept to the highest standard while working to targets set out under our UFAS accreditation.Maintaining standards in the area: maintaining paperwork/company recordsThe role will involve shift workLiaise with grain/transport department.Ensuring that raw materials pass quality inspectionsReviewing incoming raw materialsActively monitoring and managing stock rotationLiaising with the weighbridge and production regarding incoming orders and any potential shortagesHelp to achieve departmental and company objectivesHelp to maintain company standards, e.g. quality, safety, efficiency, yield, energy, hygiene, people co-ordination etc.Driving duties which include driving a forklift truck, loader, artic truck shunterPerforming a wide range of tasks on siteAny other duties as directed by your managerQualifications And CompetenciesAttention to detailStrong work ethic and flexibilityGeneral PC Literacy is desirableHaving forklift driving experience and holding a current licence is desirableGood documentation skillsForklift truck licence, loader licence, E licence a distinct advantageExcellent command of English (both written and verbal)Strong communication skillsAdaptive and flexible to changing technologies, process and environmentsHave a working knowledge of the production process would be a distinct advantageAbility to work with minimal supervisionStrong organisational skillsStrong inter-personal and communication skillsHigh motivation, flexibility and the ability to work on own initiativeTeam playerAbility to work well with others and use a team approachAbility to multitask
