General Practitioner

Newtown Medical Centre is committed to providing excellent care to the people of Newtown. We have 9,000 enrolled patients and provide a large variety of acute, routine and proactive care required for our population. We are continually looking at ways to improve the way we deliver our care.We are looking for a qualified General Practitioner to join our team working between 6-8 sessions per week. You will be working with a highly respected group of GP colleagues, a skilled nursing team, nurse practitioners and an extended care paramedic supported by an experienced and efficient administration team. You’ll need to have:• MCNZ registration or qualification to register to practice in New Zealand• Received or be working towards vocational registration in general practice• Good clinical and communication sills• Confidence in supporting a variety of ethnicities and culturesThis role would suit a GP at any stage of their career and potential ownership is available.If you are applying from overseas, please complete the Medical Council self-assessment tool at https://www.mcnz.org.nz/registration/getting-registered/tool/ and advise the results of this when you apply.If you are interested in finding out more, please contact our Business Manager, Michelle Curel at michelle.curel@newtownmc.co.nz or send your CV with a covering letter.
