Job Title: General Practitioner (m/f)Location: EnschedeAbout the Organization:With practice locations in Enschede on the campuses of the University of Twente (UT) and Saxion University of Applied Sciences, Campus UT General Practice is specifically tailored for all students and staff of the University of Twente and Saxion Enschede. However, other patients are of course also very welcome. We focus on both physical and mental healthcare. Our patient base is predominantly young, multicultural, and highly educated.At our general practice, you will work daily alongside two fellow GPs, seven medical assistants, two psychologists, and a practice manager.The practice is located in an ultra-modern health center, under one roof with various support and specialist services such as surgery, radiology, gynecology, physiotherapy, dietetics, sexology, travel vaccinations, lab testing, basic and specialized mental health care, dentistry, dental hygiene, occupational health, and addiction care.The practice is uniquely situated in a wooded area, and there is a childcare facility nearby. Breaks are often spent walking together, and there is a pleasant, informal atmosphere during a well-catered shared lunch.Personal contact between GP and patient is highly valued. During consultations, our professionals take ample time for each patient, including via online/virtual care. We offer accessible and approachable care, and see it as our role to further develop our services with a customer-oriented mindset. Our practice is constantly working on further developing primary and intermediate care, and is innovative in its use of online applications. We work with the Tetrahis system.Your RoleThe GP role is flexible and usually scheduled between 08:00 and 17:00 in half-day shifts. All practice-related tasks, including house visits, are typically completed by 17:00. Preference is given to candidates who can work at least two days per week. In short, this role can be easily combined with other responsibilities! The practice is ideal for newly qualified GPs exploring their first role, as well as experienced GPs who wish to continue working in a low-demand environment for a few more years.As a GP, you will provide consultations and deliver primary medical care within our patient community. While the role can be demanding, it is highly rewarding, well-regarded, and offers more flexibility and part-time opportunities than many other medical specializations. GPs have broad knowledge of a wide range of illnesses and diagnoses and treat patients of all ages, genders, and cultural backgrounds.Qualifications and TrainingTo be eligible for immediate placement as a Locum GP, you must hold the appropriate medical degree and relevant postgraduate training/specialization (BIG registration required).Desired CompetenciesAbility to perform under time pressureStrong practical skillsExcellent communication skills, empathy, and professionalismSolution-oriented and decisiveA drive for continuous personal developmentDetail-oriented and administratively proficientExcellent command of both Dutch and EnglishA collaborative mindset, including cross-university cooperationAn interest in guiding students toward becoming GPsWhat Campus UT General Practice OffersWe offer a market-based employment package.
