About The Job General Project Manager - Milan, ItalyThe Project General Manager (PGM) is responsible for the overall planning, execution, control, and successful delivery of these large-scale oil and gas projects (onshore/offshore). The role ensures compliance with contractual obligations, quality standards, budget, and schedule, while managing multidisciplinary teams and EPC/EPIC contractors and interfacing with clients, partners, and regulatory bodies.That is applicable for:Pile jacketing Well Head Platform [WHP]Fast Moving Working Rig [FMWR]Process Platform [PP]Subsea Lines [Gas, condensate, CO2]Complex modification for CO2 production Key Responsibilities Project Leadership & StrategyProvide strategic direction, leadership, and decision-making across the project lifecycle.Develop and implement the project execution plan in alignment with corporate objectives.Lead project initiation, feasibility, FEED, EPC/EPCIC phases, and handover to operations. Project Planning & ExecutionOversee the development of project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.Ensure engineering, procurement, construction, installation, commissioning, and start-up are executed safely, efficiently, and to specification.Monitor progress and implement corrective actions when deviations occur. Stakeholder & Client ManagementAct as the primary point of contact with the client, joint venture partners, and key stakeholders.Manage contractual relationships, resolve disputes, and ensure client satisfaction.Prepare and deliver high-level project status reports to executives and stakeholders. Commercial & Contract ManagementOversee the preparation and negotiation of contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders.Control project costs, manage change orders, and ensure profitability targets are met.Ensure compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and contractual obligations. Risk, Safety & Quality ManagementLead project risk management, identifying, evaluating, and mitigating risks.Ensure all project activities comply with HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards.Maintain quality control procedures and ensure deliverables meet client and regulatory requirements. Sc) in Mechanical/ Chemical / Structural.Professionally qualified engineer and / or member of professional Project management association.At least 20 years' experience in the oil and gas industry in both on shore and offshore facilities, at least 10 years' experience in project management roles.Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of offshore experience in total, with at least the last 35 years spent on offshore projects.Experienced in project management techniques and contract management.
