This title is part of the New York Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide Program (NY HELPS/HELP PROGRAM). For the duration of the NY HELPS Program this title may be filled via a non-competitive appointment, which means no examination is required but all candidates must meet the minimum qualifications of the title for which they apply. The work involves the administration,coordination and implementation of county-wide Public Health Educational programs. Theincumbent may act as Public Information Officer. The work is performed under the generaldirection and supervision of the Public Health Director/or designated supervisor.
Supervisionof volunteers and interns may be required. Does related work, as required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EITHER: Possession of a Bachelors degree or higher in health education or a healthrelated field;Or Possession of an Associates degree in health education or a health-related fieldAND two (2) years of full-time, paid experience in health education.
