For one of our clients in the industrial sector, we are currently looking for a Financial analyst/controller to join their team. This position will be instrumental in guiding financial performance, ensuring cost control, and delivering strategic insights to senior management. About the RoleAs a Financial analyst/controller (M/F/X), you will: Financial Planning & BudgetingAdvise senior leadership on strategic decisions related to compensation & benefits using cost-driver models, macroeconomic trend analysis, and KPI monitoring.

Lead the end-to-end budgeting and forecasting process for all compensation & benefits topics. Provide data-driven insights to optimize spending, improve efficiency, and support decision-making. Financial Control, Performance Monitoring & ReportingAct as a trusted advisor to the Heads of Financial Operations and FP&A, bridging accounting and controlling functions. Oversee full P&L and balance sheet control for compensation & benefits, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Collaborate with Finance, HR, Procurement, and Business teams to align costs and performance. Prepare strategic content for executive bodies (Executive Committee, Board of Directors). Manage interactions with external auditors on compensation & benefits matters.

Cross-Functional Managerial SupportActively contribute to resolving critical issues alongside the finance leadership. Be a driving force within the team by proposing solutions and managing unexpected challenges. Participate in key company-wide projects (process optimization, ERP implementation, etc. ). Ensure the development and maintenance of effective digital finance tools across the organization. Your ProfileEducationMaster’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business, or Engineering. Experience4–8 years of relevant experience in a demanding environment. Background in consulting or audit (Big 4 or similar) is a plus. Experience with digitalization projects is an asset. LanguagesFluent in French or Dutch with a good command of the other language.

Strong command of English. Skills & AttributesProven problem-solving skills and critical thinking. Excellent analytical and quantitative abilities. Ability to balance the big picture with attention to detail. Confident in engaging with diverse stakeholders, including senior leadership. Strong accounting knowledge (including IFRS) and payroll accounting expertise. Proactive and positive attitude, with a practical mindset and sense of responsibility. Strong oral, written, and presentation skills. Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency; SAP and Power BI are a plus.
