Job Description

Responsibilities:Perform land-based and/or marine geotechnical drilling and sampling operations.Conduct geotechnical analysis of soil samples and studies to assess site conditions.Verify and validate assumed soil conditions during project execution.Analyze, recommend, and design ground improvements for structural support.Review and approve geotechnical designs developed by third-party consultants.Plan and conduct geotechnical investigations effectively.Analyze geotechnical findings, perform appropriate calculations, and prepare data reports for the Manager.Develop proposals and determine costs and schedules for investigations.Provide direction to the project team during field inspection activities.Interact with customers and team members to complete assigned projects on time.Supervise the acquisition of geotechnical investigation data during test execution.Create soil models with different soil classifications.Develop GIS and FileMaker databases and soil maps.Process and maintain GIS databases for all geotechnical and survey data of relevant project areas.Create specific GIS maps as required.Use GIS as a decision-making tool as needed.Create progress charts based on GIS maps.Follow up on and log all data required for GIS mapping and processing.Analyze geotechnical data and assist in preparing geotechnical interpretative reports (GIR).Analyze geotechnical findings, perform appropriate calculations, and prepare data reports.Analyze soil parameters and assess the stability of structures.Assist in supervising site and ground investigations.Review geotechnical designs developed by third-party consultants and verify geotechnical aspects.Follow up on soil investigations for projects and tenders.Assist with soil improvement works.Assist in evaluating and testing acceptance criteria for soil improvement works (e.g., CPT, density tests).Ensure correct data processing and design in accordance with QA/QC procedures and standards.Coordinate between CPT and drilling operations.Plan and conduct geotechnical investigations effectively.Ensure high-quality, safe, and effective geotechnical drilling and sampling services according to international standards.Possess knowledge of suitable geotechnical investigative techniques to ensure successful project deliverables.Ensure concerns regarding the quality of geotechnical drilling and sampling operations and related matters are effectively communicated to senior personnel for resolution.Provide leadership, promote teamwork among crew members, and offer training and guidance on company standards, procedures, and geotechnical drilling techniques.Ensure adherence to company policies, operational procedures, occupational health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.Ensure field crews are suitably trained and equipped by providing regular training on technical and procedural matters.Manage and maintain assets on site—including geotechnical drilling equipment, support vehicles, tools, and parts.Conduct systematic investigation and documentation of all incidents and accidents on site according to drilling procedures.Comply with company reporting requirements—ensuring details are accurate, activities properly documented, and all chargeable items and activities clearly recorded.Qualifications and Experience:Bachelor’s Degree in Geology or equivalent Minimum 05 years' experience of Marine/ Infrastructure works, in related industries
