Job Description

What you can expect to be responsible for as a Logistics Manager: We are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to lead our end-to-end transportation, distribution, and warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in transportation and distribution principles, warehouse managed services, and a proven track record in negotiating high-value contracts to drive cost efficiency and service excellence. Plan, manage, and optimize transportation operations for inbound and outbound deliveries. Ensure efficient routing, scheduling, and load planning to maximize fleet utilization. Apply industry best practices in transportation and distribution to improve service levels and reduce costs.

Partner closely with key stakeholder teams to understand critical business needs, trends and strategiesManage a team of junior sourcing professionals, including category experts and analysts for the day-to-day coaching, training, and ongoing developmentDefine and implement global sourcing and outsourcing strategies that consolidate and optimize both the supplier base and services, while securing the lowest Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and access to the highest levels of service and qualityLeadership role in key procurement activities, including RFx development and execution, Statement of Work (SOW) and contract drafting, and pricing and contract negotiations (new client initiatives).

Greater participation/involvement in cross functional visionary development and implementationGreater responsibility of coaching leadership qualities into subordinates and direct reports, building the future leaders of the organizationLeading a medium/large team, and mentorship of senior buyersParticipating in firm building activities, including recruitment, client visits and wider delivery center improvement activitiesFitting experience for the role would be: Diverse base of experience in Logistics Management, Transportation/Distribution principles and Warehouse Managed Services.

Experience in FMCG Manufacturing industry is preferrableDeep knowledge of Procurement Outsourcing strategies and processesFluency in English and Arabic on a business levelExperience with leading medium to large teams, virtually and across multiple geographiesExceptional mentorship and coaching capabilitiesStrong strategic abilities coupled with analytical curiosity and collaborative styleHigh degree of motivation, ability to prioritize and self-direct, strong business acumen and interpersonal skillsAbility to Inspire, delegate and be an intuitive, creative visionaryExcellent verbal, written and presentation skills requiredProficiency in the MS Office packageSourcing/Procurement systems knowledgeSome experience or aptitude in digitalization and automation of processes would be considered an advantageAny business process improvement methodology such as TQM, Six Sigma, APEX etc.
