This role is integral to the stability, performance, and continuous evolution of a high-availability, large-scale network environment. You’ll be part of a dynamic, solutions-driven team, working at the heart of European democracy.
Your ResponsibilitiesManage, maintain, and support the Parliament’s network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi)Ensure performance, integrity, and security of a high-availability network serving thousands of usersTroubleshoot complex network issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutionsParticipate in team knowledge sharing, technical problem-solving, and continuous improvement discussionsCollaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to manage incidents and ensure operational excellenceWhat You BringMinimum 5 years of experience in enterprise networking environmentsStrong written and verbal communication skills; ability to convey complex technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiencesDemonstrated experience with system analysis, documentation, and network designAbility to work under pressure and maintain focus in high-stress situationsWillingness to work in shifts (two daily shifts between 7:
00 and 20: 00) and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation, including incident response and post-mortem reviewsTechnical Expertise RequiredProven hands-on experience in network engineering rolesCCNP certification or higherDeep understanding of key networking protocols (IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, QoS, 802. 11)Strong knowledge of the OSI and TCP/IP modelsHands-on experience with network diagnostic and analytics toolsExperience with wireless networking, cloud connectivity, and load balancers is a mustThis is an opportunity to contribute to the operations of a pivotal European institution.
