Team Up is the Australian Government’s sport for development program in the Asia-Pacific comprising more than 35 programs that are working towards three outcomes:

Who are we looking for?Our Team Up program is seeking a Country Coordinator – Samoa and Tonga for a fulltime fixed term position until 30 September 2026 (subcontracting arrangement).
Based in Apia, Samoa the position will require travel within the country and to Tonga in addition to other Pacific countries. This position will provide technical advice and assistance to Team Up partners and stakeholders in Samoa and Tonga and will collaborate with a range of key strategic partners to strengthen the overall Team Up approach. Working with a collaborative and driven team based in Fiji, you will respond to requests from the Australian High Commissions in Samoa and Tonga and will be integral to the successful delivery of Team Up programs in these locations. Other responsibilities will include:
Regular liaison with partners and stakeholders via email, telephone and in person meetings Coordinating and managing logistics of travel, workshops and events for Team Up and its partners in Samoa and Tonga Liaising with the Australian Government primarily through the Australian High Commission in Samoa and Tonga and Department of Foreign Affairs in Canberra, Australia on matters related to Team Up and coordinating interactions between Australian High Commission and partners Supporting the production of key program deliverables, specifically related to monitoring, evaluation, reporting and learning (MERL) Supporting regular learning and capacity development events with the Team Up partners, stakeholders and/or DFAT, including program workshops Supporting Team Up reporting, including collecting and analysing necessary qualitative and quantitative data, and collaborating on the drafting of key reports.
What you will bring to the team: A tertiary qualification in sports management or project management is desirable as is experience with sport for development programming Demonstrated experience in both the sport and aid fields Experience and understanding of MERL in relation to aid programming Ability to produce information, education and communication content related to aid programs Intermediate to advanced capabilities in using Microsoft Office programs Self-starter with an interest or previous experience in international development and sportInterested?
