Position OverviewWe are seeking a results-driven and strategic Category Manager – Packaged Beverages to lead our packaged beverage category across all On The Fly convenience store locations. This role will manage bottled water, sodas, energy drinks, juices, teas, and other ready-to-drink products—driving growth through product assortment, vendor partnerships, pricing strategy, and promotional execution. This position is based at our Tampa, FL corporate office. Key ResponsibilitiesCategory Strategy: Develop and execute the packaged beverage category plan in alignment with company goals and customer trends. Assortment Planning: Evaluate performance and consumer insights to optimize product mix by region and store format.

Vendor Partnerships: Manage supplier relationships, negotiate pricing, rebates, and vendor-funded programs. Pricing & Promotions: Build pricing strategies and coordinate with marketing on in-store promotions, seasonal rollouts, and loyalty programs. Planogram & Merchandising: Partner with merchandising to design planograms that maximize visibility, turns, and customer experience. Sales & Inventory Forecasting: Use market trends and historical data to project demand and maintain proper stock levels. KPI Monitoring: Track key metrics including sales, margin, turns, and ROI. Provide performance reports and actionable insights to leadership. Trend Analysis & Innovation: Identify emerging beverage trends and bring in new products that align with the On The Fly brand.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with store operations, supply chain, marketing, and finance to ensure smooth execution of category initiatives. Cost & Waste Control: Drive cost efficiency, reduce spoilage, and optimize category profitability. Qualifications5+ years of category management, merchandising, or procurement experience in packaged beverages or consumer packaged goods. Strong vendor negotiation and relationship management skills. Expertise in assortment planning, pricing, and promotional strategy. Analytical mindset with experience using data tools like Excel, Power BI, or similar. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Experience in convenience retail or gas station operations is a plus.
