Position DescriptionThe Manager, Member Recruitment Initiatives leads the strategic planning, implementation, and performance management of new member recruitment efforts across Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania. This role supervises a team of Member Recruitment Leads and seasonal Membership Recruitment Specialists.

The Manager ensures alignment with council membership growth goals and provides vision, coaching, and cross-functional collaboration to scale high-impact recruitment and conversion. Through data-driven leadership, community-centered engagement, and team development, this position is accountable for increasing girl and adult membership while fostering an inclusive, high-performance culture within the recruitment team. The **Essential Functions** of this position include the following: Lead Membership Growth: Develop and execute recruitment strategies in key areas, analyze data to target opportunities, and create campaigns to boost membership. Manage and Develop Team:

Supervise recruitment leads and support staff; provide coaching, training, and performance feedback; promote a collaborative culture. Collaborate cross-departmentally to align recruitment and onboarding strategies throughout all service areas; coordinate with the marketing team and others to enhance new member outreach and experiences; ensure timely member support and accurate records Drive Community Engagement: Oversee impactful recruitment events, approve plans and branding, attend key events, and build strategic community partnerships. Monitor Performance & Data: Track metrics, maintain reports and dashboards, and promote continuous improvement through data-driven insights. Ensure Excellent Service & Systems Use:

Champion high-quality service for members and partners; ensure effective use of systems and tools (e. g. , Salesforce). Support Strategic Planning: Implement strategies for consistent member experiences, contribute to budgeting, and share best practices across the council. Uphold Organizational Values: Commit to promote the mission of Girl Scouting; model diversity, equity, and inclusion; maintain confidentiality and professionalism; support broader council initiatives. Requirements A bachelor's degree is preferred in one of these fields:

communications, marketing, public relations, non-profit management, community development, or equivalent professional experience Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a related field with experience in volunteer recruitment and coordination, community outreach and relationship building, and/or sales or marketing (with a focus on community-based/mission-driven work) Team and project management experience with an emphasis on human-centered leadership and staff support Comfortable working in a variety of communities, representing the organization, and inspiring and motivating others to join or volunteer Top-notch communicator -- writes well, confidently presents to groups, facilitates effective two-way communications, and communicates clearly and understandably in a way that is appropriate for intended audiences Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, and willingness and ability to learn new systems Working knowledge of Salesforce is a plus Must be organized, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Ability and willingness to work and maintain a flexible schedule, as needed, to include occasional evenings and weekend Travel may be required to any of our 27 counties served by Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania**Summary and Benefits:
