The Girls Director of Football & Academy Director position at The St. James Football Club (TSJFC) is a Full Time position that will report directly to the Director of Soccer/ Technical Director. The Girls Director of Football & Academy Director will be responsible for all day to day soccer operations, program management, staff management, budget management and methodology/ curriculum development and management over the Girls Football side of the club in conjunction with the senior technical staff. The TSJFC Girls Academy consists of 6 teams that participate in the Girls Academy League and has consistently been a high performer regionally and nationally having won and reached multiple National Championships as members of The Girls Academy. Additionally, TSJFC Girls Academy players have also been identified and invited to numerous USYNT ID Centers and National Camps as well as full team appearances. TSJFCV has consistently placed 90%+ of graduating Academy players in college at all levels (DI-DIII) and have also features in the full USWNT, NWSL & Women’s Super League.Primary Responsibilities:Girls Football Program Development and Oversight:The Girls Football Director will be responsible for the short & long term development of all girls teams as well as individual player development from our Pre-Travel, through all levels of Travel Soccer including the Girls Academy and supporting the clubs ambitions of creating semi-pro/ Senior levels of girls football within The St. James FC competitive pyramid.Development and implementation of club curriculum consistent with club methodology and standards of game and style of play.Work with Girls Staff to develop plans, schedules, budgets and development targets across the different ages and developmental levelsManage communication and expectations with parents regarding all aspects of the program with staff and membersCoaching & Managing within the Girls Academy:Coach one (1) Girls Academy team while also managing the staff and teams within the Girls Academy programOrganize, manage and when applicable, assist in staff identification as well as scheduling all support staff including GK Coach, Performance Coach, Sports Psychologist, etcManage all aspects of the Girls Academy program including working with the league and conference on scheduling, scheduling referees, scheduling athletic trainers and working with the Technical Director of facility schedule for training and matchesAttend all Home & Away League matches, including all tournaments and events.Attend all league meetings and represent the club to the national league.Develop and grow college coaching connections and relationships, utilizing all TSJFCV resources and staffWork with local, regional & national US Soccer staff to ensure maximum player exposure and identification opportunities.League Managements:Manage all scheduling for Girls Academy teams for training and matchesWork with club administrative team to ensure referee coverageAttend all Home & Away League matches including GA Champions League & League Finals events.Attend all Girls Academy League meetingsStaff Management:Manage all staffs professional development plans in conjunction with the Technical DirectorProvide monthly in-person coaching education sessions for Girls Academy staff & Girls Travel staff to ensure developmental standards through all age groups.Conduct weekly staff meetings with Girls Academy staff to ensure all training and matches are covered with appropriate training and match plansRecognize and anticipate growth and staff hiring needs to ensure we are meeting the business needsPosition Requirements:USSF A License or international equivalentUSSF Academy Director License (or complete within 18 months of accepting position)Applicable on field experience at the Girls Academy, ECNL or (former) US Soccer Development Academy (DA) level or professional coaching experienceProven track record of success in coaching at the Girls Academy, ECNL or (former) US Soccer Development Academy (DA) level or professional coaching experienceProven track record for successful placement of athletes at the collegiate and/ or professional level
