This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a variety of projects while playing a vital role in shaping our estimating practices and ensuring competitive pricing. *Key Responsibilities: * Cost Estimation: Analyse drawings, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects of various sizes and complexities. Bid Preparation:

Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive bid proposals, ensuring timely submission in line with project deadlines. Quantity Take-Offs: Perform detailed quantity take-offs of materials and labour, utilizing industry-standard software to ensure precise calculations and resource allocations. Market Research: Stay informed about market trends, material costs, and labour rates to provide competitive estimates and identify cost-saving opportunities. Vendor Liaison: Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotes and evaluate pricing, ensuring the best possible options are available for each project. Cost Control:

Monitor project budgets and financial performance, providing reports on variances and offering solutions to stay within budget constraints. Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and challenges related to project costs and provide recommendations to mitigate these risks. Collaboration: Work closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure all aspects of the project are considered in the estimating process, fostering a collaborative environment. **Minimum Requirements: ** A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in construction estimation Proficiency in construction estimation software (e. g. , Buildsoft, Cubit) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
