A glimpse in your role: At Global Blue, our Shared Services organization provides centralized finance and accounting services across the Group. As a NYSE-listed company in a dynamic and fast-growing industry, we place strong emphasis on SOX compliance and continuous improvement. As a Financial Accountant, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day finance operations, ensuring timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings.
You’ll work closely with cross-functional finance teams to support standard processes and contribute to key projects, helping maintain the financial integrity and compliance of the organization. Every action has an impact. You will make a difference here if: Perform general ledger postings and maintain supporting documentation, particularly in compliance with IFRS standards (especially IFRS 15 and IFRS 16). Maintain accurate asset reconciliations and coordinate with local teams to support inventory counts. Handle payroll accounting and liaise with local HR teams to analyze and explain fluctuations. Calculate intercompany recharges and collaborate with the FP&A team to understand and analyze trends.
Book monthly accruals and manage other month-end accounting activities. Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts (balance sheet and P&L). Support activities related to statutory year-end closing. Assist in the development of ad-hoc analyses, reports, presentations, and special projects for senior management and cross-functional teams. Handle accounting queries and resolve issues independently. Communicate with internal business units to support data-driven decision making. Prepare and review SOX controls as part of ongoing compliance requirements. Contribute to automation and standardization initiatives within the finance function.
