Who knows where our shared journey will take you?Transform the everyday with us!The Business Developer for Emerging Portfolio of the Business Unit Factory Automation (FA) reports into the global FA Sales Domain. The role plays a key role in defining and driving strategic sales initiatives for FA’s emerging portfolio topics globally. The role acts as a primary interface between the Business Unit FA and the global Zones especially ensuring the adoption of global sales measures within the Zone Americas by being the key interface to the FA Domain Management in the Zone Americas. Key focus is on enabling Sales technically on FA’s Emerging Portfolio (e.g. SCADA, Edge, Industrial AI) and to further shape DI FA technology leadership jointly with the Zones and the respective LCB teams.We are looking for a Global Business Developer. This position can be located anywhere in the continental US within commutable distance to major airports.You’ll make an impact by:PLM/ CRM interlock:Prepare market launch by building portfolio know-how relevant for Sales and deriving appropriate sale strategiesRun market introduction across the “incubate-validate-replicate” process with focus on target market and customer definition, clear value propositions and channel strategiesAct as key interlock to the business lines in Factory Automation for its emerging portfolio for all CRM relevant topicsGive go-to-market relevant input in early product development stages taking into account market and customer specificsRun target-setting/ breakdown with the PLM stakeholders and represent the emerging portfolio into the global business mix definition and alignmentBeing responsible for global Sales pipeline and target achievement by ensuring execution of sales measure with Zones and LCBsSales Enablement:Empower sales teams and channels by providing key technical insights, training and sales narratives to Zone stakeholdersSupport sales at customer workshops while product or solution is still at early stage of market introductionDefine and communicate a customer value proposition from a technical perspective for the assigned Target Portfolio Elements (TPEs)Identify and orchestrate global as well as zone-specific Sales focus initiatives (e.g. sales push, master plan)Facilitate cross-Zone knowledge exchange and best practices sharing for further sales measure definition and executionMarket & Customer Engagement:Represent DI to key market stakeholders, with focus on the Factory Automation’s emerging portfoliog., at trade fairs, conferences and associationsActively drive new technologies and the Factory Automation emerging portfolio into the global Zone Sales organizations, e.g. to Sales Acceleration and to all relevant Sales channel teamsCustomer & market feedback:Analyze market trends, customer needs as well as the competitive landscape in the zone. Prioritize and consolidate feedback and share customer/ market feedback within the global FA Sales domainGather product requirements from all channels and analyze/ prioritize feedback including Sales impact evaluationAlign emerging portfolio specific requirements based on transparent market and customer opportunities with the BL stakeholders in FAEscalate quality issues and coordinate resolution across global zone stakeholdersMarketing, Vertical and Partner interface:Set requirements for product and portfolios marketing and funnel back zone-specific feedback to global organization, e.g., for campaigns and selling collateralAct as key interface for Marketing, global Vertical organizations and global PartnerManagement representing the global BU Sales domain for the Factory Automation Emerging PortfolioYou’ll win us over by having the following qualifications: Basic Qualifications: 8+ years of experience in industrial automation or related technical salesBachelor’s degree in (Software) Engineering, IT, Business Administration (Sales focus)Proven track record in business development/ sales in industrial automation and software marketsStrong understanding of industrial automation technologies, Edge, Cloud, IIoT, (Gen)AIProficient in market analysis and competitive intelligenceExpertise in portfolio management and product lifecycle processesStrong experience in influencing and collaborating with stakeholders across multiple organizational levelsStrong presentation as well as negotiation skillsFluent in English, both written and verbalLegally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorshipPreferred Qualifications: Additional languages are a plusAbout Siemens:We are a global technology company focused on industry, infrastructure, transport, and healthcare.
