Global Head of Procurement

Alcott Global is retained to search for a Global Head of Procurement with one of the world’s leading electronics companies. The role will be based in Singapore.The Global Head of Procurement will lead the company’s worldwide procurement strategy, driving excellence across sourcing, supplier management, and cost optimization for a high-tech electronics manufacturing environment. This individual will play a pivotal role in ensuring supply continuity, managing risk, and enabling innovation through strategic supplier partnerships and advanced procurement technologies.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute a global procurement strategy aligned with the company’s business objectives, operational requirements, and sustainability goals.Lead transformation initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency, visibility, and scalability across regions.Partner with executive leadership on make-or-buy decisions, supplier consolidation, and vertical integration opportunities.Oversee all direct and indirect procurement categories, with an emphasis on high-value electronic components, semiconductors, precision parts, and advanced materials.Implement strategic sourcing frameworks (e.g., total cost of ownership, should-cost modeling, risk-adjusted sourcing).Ensure competitive cost structures through supplier negotiations, multi-sourcing strategies, and long-term agreements.Build and maintain strong partnerships with tier-1 and tier-2 suppliers, focusing on innovation, quality, and delivery reliability.Establish robust Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) systems, including performance scorecards and joint business reviews.Drive supplier development initiatives—especially around new product introduction (NPI), quality improvement, and sustainability compliance.Lead global procurement teams across multiple regions, promoting best practices, continuous improvement, and talent development.Utilize digital procurement tools and analytics platforms (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa, Jaggaer, or similar) for spend visibility and process automation.Oversee inventory strategies in coordination with supply chain and production teams to balance cost, lead time, and availability.Implement effective supply risk management frameworks to ensure business continuity and resilience amid geopolitical or supply chain disruptions.Ensure compliance with trade regulations, export controls, ESG standards, and ethical sourcing requirements.Drive initiatives around responsible sourcing, carbon footprint reduction, and circular economy principles.Key QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.15+ years of progressive experience in procurement within the electronics, semiconductor, or high-tech manufacturing industry.Proven success managing global supplier networks across Asia, Europe, and North America.Deep understanding of strategic sourcing, category management, and contract negotiations.Experience implementing digital procurement transformation and leveraging analytics for decision-making.Strong financial acumen with the ability to translate procurement impact into P&L performance.Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and cross-cultural communication skills.
