Being in the office is essential to collaborate effectively and drive success.Plenty of off-site parking is available.Job DescriptionThe Global Intelligence Manager is responsible for the management of Securitas Risk Intelligence Center (RIC) Global Intelligence team in the delivery of intelligence as a managed service to Securitas customers, including internally within the Securitas business. The RIC Global Intelligence team is a 24/7 operational intelligence function responsible for delivery of intelligence on significant global developments.The role is suited to someone with 5 years+ experience in intelligence operations and people management. Proficiency and practical application of intelligence in an operational setting (i.e. regional intelligence, protective, threat, cyber etc.) is crucial to this role. Experience in other protective services (i.e. GSOC, travel security, crisis management etc.) is highly advantageous but not essential.The role reports directly to the Head of Intelligence Operations and requires, leadership, and people management skills, to deliver the highest quality of intelligence, customer service, and ongoing improvements and innovations in ways of working.Working within a dynamic and demanding environment, the role requires flexibility and agility, including mobilising on short notice to meet operational requirements, and some evening and weekend work. Travel may be required to visit customers, other RIC central operations resource, embedded intelligence staff, or other business functions on occasion. Responsibilities will evolve over time, with opportunities for ongoing development and progression.ResponsibilitiesLeading and managing the delivery of the RIC’s global intelligence services (including planning, management, direction, collection, processing, analysis, production, dissemination, and ongoing evaluation of intelligence products and services, and intelligence operations). Acquire, allocate and maintain resources to match the changing profile of demand and need, and making recommendations to RIC leadership and management such changes, to ensure that intelligence resources are deployed effectively to meet the needs of the RIC. Leading and managing the RIC’s Global Intelligence Team (a 24/7 operational intelligence function responsible for delivery of intelligence on significant global developments) and Protective Intelligence Team (a ‘core hours’ operational intelligence function responsible for the delivery of intelligence relating to customer specific intelligence requirements). Managing the delivery of timely, accurate, relevant, and actionable intelligence products to internal and commercial stakeholders. Direction of intelligence efforts (reactively and proactively), including identifying, prioritising, and tasking intelligence requirements. Manage intelligence Collection, including use of intelligence tools, and manual processes, and global resources within Securitas. Manage Processing of intelligence into databases, forms, logs, systems, templates etc. Manage and support intelligence Analysis using recognised intelligence techniques. Manage, support and operate Production of finished intelligence products both proactively any in response to any dynamic requirements including (but not limited to) alerts, analysis (assessments, reports etc.) and investigations. This includes both written products and verbal presentations. Provide leadership and management to the RIC, providing mentoring/coaching, guidance, and support to staff in order to maximise their development, efficiency, and morale, and deliver an effective and consistent service, maintaining the highest possible operational and intelligence excellence. Possess and maintain an understanding of intelligence methodologies, tools, and processes, and to embed these within the RIC, including developing other members of staff. Manage and drive operational excellence through ongoing Evaluation and Feedback of intelligence services, including maintaining the highest level of consistency and quality. Additionally, managing ongoing service development by maintaining awareness of innovation within intelligence to ensure implementation of latest techniques and tactics, best practice, and information relevant to the RIC. Identify and proactively pursue opportunities to provide RIC team members with learning and development pathways, both through formal processes such as 1-2-1s and training, additional ad-hoc opportunities. Support and on occasion lead on service development activity, including digitization of RIC services, and working with other ‘RIC central operations’ functions and embedded analysts as part of the RIC’s growing global intelligence community. Support with commercial opportunities, both including engagement with existing customers, and business development opportunities with new prospects, in addition to upsell opportunities, and retention. Manage and maintain supplier relationships and arrangements. Maintain and develop industry engagement with external stakeholders including third party bodies, channels, forums and other appropriate working groups. Demonstrate understanding and engagement with the Securitas Core Values of Integrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness, whilst showing a natural ability to recognise risk within the workplace and consider safety as a priority, complying with relevant policies, procedures and training as provided by the Company. QualificationsEssential5 years+ experience in intelligence operations and people management. Must have the right to work in the UK. Have a five-year checkable employment history or be able to produce documentary evidence of any period of unemployment, self-employment, or full and part-time education during that period. The ability to embody and uphold the Securitas core values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness. DesirableSubject matter expertise in a specific intelligence domain (protective, threat, cyber etc.), or other protective services (i.e. GSOC, travel security, crisis management etc.) is advantageous but not essential. University degrees are not a mandatory requirement of the role, however evidence of ongoing professional development is desirable (including formal training and informal self development).
