Job DescriptionJob ResponsibilitiesThis position will provide global ASC project management services and oversight for all ASC projects and capital equipment installation activities. The Global Project Engineer will be expected to utilize and comply with project management methodologies, best practices, and performance requirements as managed by the Project Engineering Manager and outlined in the ASC New Product Introduction (NPI) process (WC# 01002369) and Project Management Guidebook (WC# 01043098). Responsibilities of this position include: Manage ASC projects from the creation of the project charter through full implementationEstimate project NRE/NRTManage to project NRE/NRTDemonstrate project performance to project requirements (technical, financial, schedule, etc.)Define and manage project-level risks and opportunitiesCreate CapEx requestsCreate and maintain project schedules and CapEx equipment installation schedulesCreate change request and update projects upon change request approvalPerform portfolio-level forecasting activities for BP (quantified project improvements, timing, and costs)Work with local project engineers and local engineering managers to delegate project and technical work across sites to execute development activities according to the PMO Tool/BP (project improvements and timing)Coordinate project implementation across all ASC sitesOversee execution of development activities at the local sites and ensure NPI process complianceCommunicate overall plan for global implementationCoordinate information sharing between sitesAct as the main point of contact for Safran Industrialization Leader counterpartsCommunicate summary project portfolio performanceShiftDayShift InformationSalaried, 40 Hours On SiteExperience/Education/SkillsKey Performance IndicatorsOn time delivery of Tier 1 (portfolio-level) and 2 (project-level) milestonesPunctuality of project updates (schedule updates, financial updates, regular reporting, etc.)Adherence to NPI processOut of Scope Non-project activities related to maintaining specified performance levels within Operations (ex: run rate, yield, equipment uptime, etc.)Includes participation in RCCA and 8D activities. Ability to coordinate teams and guide them toward a common goalAbility to quantify performance and generate useful metricsKnowledge: BS in Business Administration or Engineering is required. 6-10 years of relevant experience required. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus. Proficient with MS Project, including schedule and report creation/customizationProficient with MS Excel spreadsheets, charts, and pivot tablesVB macro is a plusAerospace industry experience is preferredWorking understanding of PMI PMP body of knowledgeUnderstanding of earned value management (EVM)Skills:Strong oral and written communication skills, particularly technical writing and summary presentationsStrong leadership skillsStrong team-development skillsExcellent attention to detailWell-organized and disciplined
