Product Designer

We are looking for a Product Designer to work with one of the leading global tech giants, based in Zurich, SwitzerlandThe role is to join their contingent workforce (contract) initially on a one year contract which can be be extended through to 18 months. This team work remotely from all across the world, but you must be in Switzerland. You will work closely with engineers, QA, a community team, a product manager, and be part of a team of designers working on Maps and AR/VR.

The primary goal is to drive the user experience for their product across mobile, web & desktop.

Job ResponsibilitiesDesign, prototype, and build flows and experiences across mobile (Android/iOS), web, and desktopCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new product featuresTranslate complex user needs and product requirements into intuitive interfacesAssess feasibility of design options within time and engineering constraintsMaintain and update design systemsContribute to product roadmaps and presentationsGive and solicit feedback from designers and a broader product team in order to continually improve quality of workMinimum Qualifications5+ years of experience designing for mobile/web/desktop5+ years of UI/UX design experience5+ years of visual design experience5+ years of interaction design experience Proficiency in Figma and other design & prototyping toolsSolid understanding of Google Material Design and Apple HIGStrong communication and problem-solving skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience designing map-based experiences or mapping platformsIllustration or motion design experienceStrategic product thinkingTechnical knowledge of app or web developmentInterest in open data
