As our Manager, Project Management, you are the communication liaison between our client consulting team and the internal teams you support leading some of our largest global event and hospitality programs. In your partnership, you will be positioned on multiple medium to large sized projects supporting a senior level project manager on a portfolio of work across a variety of service needs. To thrive in this role, you have a general understanding of project lifecycle from new business to reconciliation.
This role will give you a chance to utilize a mix of analytical, commercial, and communication skills making every day unique and exciting. Required SkillsProgram Leadership. You are an experienced project manager with skilled in project planning, estimating, scenario planning, and detailed scoping of multi-workstream programs. You will work with project owners to manage the day-to-day operations, plan, and forecast for the future, and maintain project and financial reporting procedures across the projects. Global Hospitality and Sports Program Management.
You will proactively identify at-risk projects, address issues and escalate issues, and manage end-to-end workflows and change management for our global event and hospitality programs. You will create project estimates and SOWs based on subject matter experts' (SME) input. You will also monitor project financials to identify potential overruns, take corrective action when needed, and develop program roadmaps and tactical plans. Experience with global event or hospitality programs preferred. Team Development. You will lead and support a team of talented project associates at different levels and skill sets to execute their projects.
You will also participate in the career development of your direct reports, aligning with GMR's team values and goals. Project Management Tools. You understand project and program management concepts and tools such as Agile, Kanban, Workfront, and product management and how to implement them across the workflow. Collaboration. You hold yourself and those on your team accountable, supporting each other to seize opportunities and come to the most innovative and effective process as a team. You will collaborate with the Enablement Office to establish best practice processes that meet client business needs.
You will also partner with the Resource Planner to assign team members based on scope, budget, and timeline. Flexibility. We are a virtual-first team. You thrive in a remote work environment and have the flexibility to work across multiple time zones, domestically and/or internationally. The annual range for this role varies between $65,000 and $70,000 and may vary depending on the candidate’s experience.
