Job Description

GoGlobal is seeking for a proactive and experienced HR and Payroll Specialist to our client employees in South Korea. This position combining HR support as Local Representative and Payroll responsibilities. While the role covers both areas, you may be assigned to focus on one as your primary function - either HR Local Representative or Payroll - while supporting the other as a secondary duty, based on the business needs.

Responsibilities and focus areas may be adjusted according to the assignment, but close collaboration with other team members is key to ensuring a smooth employee experience and full compliance with Korean employment and payroll requirements. Roles and Responsibilities:

HR Local Representative Be the primary HR contact and company representative for South Korea Facilitate smooth onboarding for local employees; welcome and guide new hires through all local processes Manage core HR operations, for example time and attendance, probation tracking, contract changes and offboarding processes Address employee and client HR-related issues, escalating and resolving as needed Support employee termination / separation process under the direction of Reporting Manager Stay updated on Korean employment laws and HR trends; communicate relevant updates internally Prepare HR documents (e. g.

, employment agreements, addendums, letters) and maintain accurate personnel records Provide administrative support on the grounds including but not limited to office management, medical insurance application, bank account opening and other office equipment sourcing and purchasing Collecting and organizing client documents and mails, maintaining document storage space, ensuring the office remains neat and tidy, be the main contact for vendors, managing the company safe box efficiently as part of the office management role Process work visa in a thorough and timely manner Ad hoc projects being assigned Payroll Take full ownership of end-to-end payroll processing in South Korea, including monthly calculations, input validation (eg.

working hours, leave, salary changes) and execution Ensure compliance with statutory reporting and contributions:

National Pension, Health Insurance, Employment Insurance, Income Tax etc Review payroll outputs, identify discrepancies and coordinate corrections with internal teams and client and/or client employees Liaise with clients, employees and vendors on payroll related issues and provide payroll advisory as needed Maintain accurate and secure payroll records and ensure timely filings and payments to relevant authorities Participate in payroll audits, year-end processing, and internal reporting activities Requirements At least a Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration or its equivalent At least 3 years of hands-on experience in HR and Payroll operations Strong knowledge of South Korean employment law and payroll regulations, including statutory benefits and tax compliance Strong in both Korean and English (spoken and written) Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities Flexible, solutions-focused with the ability to thrive in a startup setting where roles may evolve Be culturally aware and confident working with international teams across diverse backgrounds and time zones.

Must be able to work from office at least three times a week.
