Role Details: Gold Fields Ghana currently seeks to employ an experienced and qualified individual for the position of Section Operator I. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring safe and effective supervision of circuits as well as assist maintenance crew in carrying out maintenance works. About the role: Ensure all circuits are free from tripping hazards by cleaning material spillsAssist maintenance crew in carrying out maintenance worksExecute planned work in conjunction with his/her supervisorMaintain a safe and friendly working environment in compliance with ISO 45001 requirementsReport any unsafe situation or hazards that are likely to obstruct productionKey Requirements:
A holder of Junior/Senior High School CertificateMinimum of two (2) years’ experience in a similar positionBasic knowledge of External reagent standard operating proceduresKnowledge of CIL process plant reagent preparation and safe transferWell-developed oral and written communication skills as well as ability to interact with people of diverse cultureAbility to initiate, take responsibility and manage tasks through to completionAnticipate, plan and react quickly and flexibly to changing circumstancesMust have a hands-on approach and be willing to commit to obtain the required resultsA valid Ghanaian driver’s license and proficiency in driving light vehicles.
Mobile equipment license and mine permit will be an added advantage
