PositionData Processing ClerkJob GradingB UpperDepartmentSafetySiteSouth Deep Gold MineThe Data Processing Clerk is responsible for collecting category-specific safety data, accurately and efficiently capturing this information in the relevant safety management systems and ensuring proper organisation and archiving of all safety-related recordsMinimum RequirementsGrade 12 or equivalentMust have at least 2 years’ administration experience preferably within a mining industry Safety departmentWorking knowledge of Isometrix, Syncromine or any other safety management systemBe declared medically fit for the position and environment as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the Gold Fields Occupational Health Centre and pass a Heat Tolerance Screening test, and such other tests as may be required to assess the applicant’s suitability for employmentKey CompetenciesProven personal safety recordSound interpersonal relations, collaboration and good communication skillsTyping proficiency and ability to capture data accurately and efficiently.

Attention to detail and accuracy whilst working with large transactional volumesComputer literate and competent in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Duties And ResponsibilitiesEnsure active participation in Safety campaigns or event as and when requiredExecute tasks in accordance with established work requirements, instructions, targets, methods and processes to ensure quality of work and to safeguard the well-being and safety of oneself and othersAdherence to all applicable Company Policies, Standards and ProceduresCapture safety incidents and other relevant information promptly, accurately, and with attention to detail in the designated Safety System DatabasesMaintain the integrity and accuracy of all data entered into safety systems in accordance with company policies and ISO standardsEnsure daily filing and proper organisation of incident reports and related recordsSupport the archiving of safety records in line with company procedures and ISO requirementsMaintaining office housekeeping practices to comply with South Deep’s Safety StandardsProvide assistance with general administrative duties as assigned by the responsible line managerClosing Date:
