Benefits And Perks Competitive compensation, vacation, profit share, and equity package 100% employer-paid extended benefits - health and dental Employee Assistance Program 125% RRSP matching (10% of salary, up to a maximum of $10k/yr) Employee product discounts Transportation Reimbursement In this role, you will Working with stakeholders and other developers to ensure that project requirements relating to digital products are thoroughly specified Producing low-fidelity wireframes, conversion-focused mockups, and responsive cross-platform-tested final designs Planning, designing, writing, modifying, integrating, and testing HTML/CSS Utilizing PHP to build complex front-end web layouts in which content and design have been decoupled Building and customizing client side UI components using Vue (or similar frameworks), often leveraging an existing component library to accelerate development and ensure consistency Delivering a high volume of design projects on time, within budget, and in accordance with project and company objectives Adhering to design best practices to ensure incredible quality and error-free production of digital products according to brief Collaborating with the systems team in creating and implementing digital solutions for our web properties Testing work product across various media to ensure objectives are met Our ideal candidate 1–3 years experience as a Web or Digital Designer Post-secondary degree or diploma in web design or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Possess a deep passion for web design and delivering an optimal user experience 1-3 years experience with HTML, CSS, and content management systems (like WordPress) PHP (WordPress/WooCommerce) and JavaScript experience preferred, or a willingness to learn Familiarity with at least one modern JavaScript framework (such as Vue, React, or Svelte) will be considered a strong asset - or a demonstrated interest in learning one Firm understanding of version control in both theory and practice Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and other creative tools Proficiency with building mobile-friendly designs and web-optimized creative assets
