Expansive lawns and towering coconut palms provide an enchanting backdrop to the pristine beaches of Paradise Island.The Ocean Club offers a rich roster of activities including water sports such as snorkeling, sailing and wind-surfing along with land-based activities including world-class golf and tennis plus a relaxing spa.The Role of the Gourmet HostessThe Gourmet Hostess is responsible for scheduling day and shift assignments for all dining rooms and promptly notifying staff of their schedules. This role includes assigning service stations to servers and bus staff, ensuring a smooth and efficient dining experience. During meal service periods, the Gourmet Hostess supervises dining room operations, strategically managing customer seating to balance the flow across various service stations, thereby enhancing the overall dining experience for guests.Key FunctionsAssigns service station to all service staff observing their present-ability for compliance with appearance and uniform standard.Checks table settings for proper presentation and completeness.Seat guests in preferred section, provides menus and introduces server.Verbally explain to staff any menu changes, meal specials or other factors that relate to service of food or dining room operation.Inspect restaurant to ensure all items are in proper order, taking appropriate action on all matters not meeting standard.Graciously greet guests upon their arrival and escorts them to a table, balancing the customer flow among the service station, taking into account requests for a particular table or server, depending on availability.Handle guest complaints immediately and politely, advising manager of all incidents.Oversees the general functioning of the dining room during the meal service period, relaying information to service staff, requesting feedback from guests as to their satisfaction, making adjustments when and where necessary.Must know all products served in the restaurant.Thorough knowledge of facilities to assist guest with information when necessary.This is an exciting time to join The Ocean Club, a Four Seasons Resort.Applicants that are interested in applying, please note that the position is based on The Ocean Club, A Four Seasons Resort Property located in The Bahamas and is available to those individuals who possess a legal ability to work in The Bahamas without sponsorship.
