Title: Government Relations Lead Location: South Korea (with regional coverage across Asia)Work Type: -Fully RemoteAbout the Role:We are seeking an experienced Government Relations Lead to strengthen the company's presence in South Korea and across Asia. Working closely with the Head of Asia, this role will play a pivotal part in shaping the company's regional policy engagement strategy and expanding the company's relationships with key regulatory stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in crypto assets, blockchain, and digital assets regulation, with a strong understanding of Asian financial regulatory environments, particularly in South Korea.Key Responsibilities:Provide strategic policy and regulatory guidance across Asian markets, with primary focus on South Korea.Develop and maintain relationships with regulators, ministries, and policymakers, including the Financial Services Commission (FSC), Financial Supervisory Service (FSS), and equivalent authorities across the region.Monitor and analyse policy and regulatory developments in crypto assets, stablecoins, and digital finance.Draft position papers, consultation responses, and policy briefings on emerging regulatory issues.Represent the organisation in meetings, industry forums, and consultations with policymakers and regulators.Support business development and member engagement initiatives throughout the region.Communicate key regulatory updates to internal teams and external stakeholders.Collaborate with legal, compliance, and executive teams to align advocacy efforts and policy priorities.Qualifications and Experience:Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Law, Economics, Public Policy, or a related discipline.Strong experience in regulatory affairs, government relations, or policy, preferably in the Crypto, Blockchain, or Digital Asset sector.Strong knowledge of Asian regulatory frameworks, with deep understanding of the South Korean market.Proven experience engaging with financial regulators and government agencies in at least two major Asian jurisdictions.Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.Highly proactive, strategic, and adaptable, with the ability to balance independent work and team collaboration in a multicultural environment.Fluency in English is required; Korean or other Asian languages are highly advantageous.
