Arts integration is an approach to teaching in which students discover and demonstrate their learning through the different arts: drama, dance, visual art, music and creative writing. Students engage in the creative process that connects the curriculum to the arts in a deep and meaningful way.Students come to us with a variety of exceptionalities and various levels of need. A Social Emotional Learning (SEL) focus and experience with PBIS (positive behaviour support), Zones of Regulation, Mind Up, SEL Kernels to support success.Education & ExperienceElementary teacher training with major practicum at the Intermediate levelSuccessful teaching experience at the Intermediate levelExperience teaching visual or performing arts at the elementary level, preferredEligible for B.C.
