Job Description

Are you a Graduate Mechanical engineering student? Do you love DIY, building and prototyping in your spare time? Ideally you are part of your university’s Formula student team or have worked on projects related to automotive, motorsport or energy storage; you want to demonstrate your mechanical design skills; and want to work in a fast-paced start up environment.DESCRIPTIONSupport restructuring of CAD assemblies to clearly separate base product features from customer-specific interfaces.Assist in generating manufacturing-ready BOMs for the MAX300 and other product variants.Produce clear GA drawings for MAX range of BESSParticipate in design reviews to identify part duplication and opportunities for consolidation.Create a fastener library with standard part numbers based on Allye’s conventions.Help prepare drawing packs for suppliers, including manufacturing notes and tolerances.Track part releases, revisions, and on-time delivery in collaboration with procurement.Support quality checks by updating drawings based on supplier feedback.QUALIFICATIONSMust-havesMasters graduate in mechanical, motorsport or automotive engineeringHands-on experience from working in Formula student or similarExcellent CAD skills (SolidWorks preferred).Experience working with electrical and mechanical componentsAbility to work proactively with minimal support using a logical approach in an environment with minimal documented processesMust be self-motivated and an effective team playerEligible to work in the UK.Nice-to-havesA basic understanding of High Voltage vehicle systems and safety.Practical project experience involving soldering, fabrication, harnessing...Knowledge of battery system technology including cell chemistries, BMS etc.
