Salary: £29,000Location: Chester, SwanseaContract Type: Full Time PermanentThe VacancyBinnies, part of the RSK Group, is looking for a Graduate Procurement Assistant in our Delivery team, to be based in Chester or Swansea.As a Graduate Procurement Assistant, you will have the opportunity to support the procurement and commercial delivery of multi-disciplinary engineering projects from concept through to construction and handover.Our Procurement team works closely with project managers, engineers, and commercial colleagues to ensure the effective sourcing, contracting, and management of suppliers and subcontractors. We support our clients in the UK water sector by enabling efficient and compliant procurement of works, goods and services.Binnies treats each professional as an individual and will provide all relevant training, development and support including mentorship initiatives so that you may further your career. We are a diverse and energetic team, and you will play a key role in contributing to our team’s continuing growth and success.  ResponsibilitiesTypically, you will assist and support the Procurement & Supply chain manager on multi-disciplinary projects with the following:Assist in the preparation and issue of tender documentationSupport supplier onboarding and prequalification using platforms such as Achilles and the Common Assessment StandardHelp coordinate the evaluation of supplier proposals and support contract award processesAssist in the drafting and administration of contracts, predominantly under the NEC suiteMonitor supplier performance and compliance with contract termsSupport procurement planning and scheduling aligned to project milestonesLiaise with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure procurement aligns with project needsHelp maintain procurement records and systems including spend tracking and vendor databasesContribute to market engagement and supplier relationship developmentAssist in ensuring procurement activities support sustainability, innovation and value for moneySupport governance processes including approvals, reporting and audit readinessExecute requisition process for business requirements, for (but not limited to) commodities, supplies, construction services and third-party rental equipment using the Binnies finance system (Focal Point)As a graduate, appropriate support and development opportunities will be given to enable you to undertake your role.
