Find out more about our global programme Different makes a difference.Where Could You WorkAs a graduate quantity surveyor, you'll enjoy variety, working on large and small projects with the opportunity to explore different career pathways with exposure on a wide variety of schemes, in all sectors for both public and private clients. This includes new university campuses, commercial office developments, refurbishment of listed buildings and museums, large residential scheme, the list is endless.You will learn to guide design teams, ensuring projects are designed within our clients' budget and you will work with contractors, managing construction costs for our clients. This could be by working at one of our local offices, from the client's'office or out on site.You will be developing your communication and problem-solving skills as well as honing your mathematical ability and business acumen. You will be given the opportunity to grow, with a wide variety of projects to work on with an experienced, high performing qualified team, to learn from.Your roleAssist in preparing initial cost estimates and budgets for engineering and construction projects, ensuring alignment with client expectations and project scope.Support in measuring quantities from drawings and specifications to prepare bills of quantities and other cost-related documentation.Help with preparing tender documents, evaluating contractor bids, and supporting procurement processes under supervision.Assist in managing contracts, including tracking variations, preparing interim valuations, and supporting claims and final accounts.Monitor project costs against budgets, identify variances, and contribute to regular financial reporting and forecasting.Conduct site visits to assess progress, verify completed work, and support valuation processes.Liaise with engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure clear communication of cost-related matters and project updates.Ensure adherence to relevant regulations, standards, and company procedures, while identifying and mitigating cost-related risks.About YouOn track to achieve a Minimum Level 8 degree in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, Construction Commercial Management, or an equivalent qualification.A passion for working in a consultancy environment.Championing a culture where everyone belongs.A desire to work collaboratively with a curious approach, challenging yourself to find new solutions.Enthusiasm and drive to develop your skillset and seek out development opportunities within a supportive team.Motivation to achieve professional accreditation (where applicable).Comfortably embrace agile ways of working and learning new technologies.Commitment to spend a minimum of three days a week in the office or on client site (project dependent).
