12-month Contract - Part Time 2026 The Southport School is a leading Anglican Day and Boarding school for boys situated on the banks of the beautiful Nerang River in the heart of the Gold Coast. The Southport School has been established for over 124 years and is committed to providing excellence in leadership, learning and teaching, pastoral care and extra-curricular endeavors within a balanced, holistic Christian environment.We are looking for a Graduate Teacher who is intuitive and motivated to capture the hearts and minds of the boys across years 7-10 in our Mathematics Faculty to complete a 12-month part time (0.75) teaching contract. Relief teaching is also available outside the set part-time timetable.This position will require a first-year educator to teach across years 7-10 with the ideal candidate to have recent practicum experience in teaching the mathematics curriculum.Candidates are invited to discuss how they develop key foundational skills and build mathematical confidence in students that supports student achievement and academic outcomes.Additionally, we are very interested in hearing from candidates who are keen to be involved in school life outside of the classroom and could contribute or participate in our extensive co-curricular offerings.Candidate Applications ShouldDetail recent practicum Mathematics and other subject teaching experienceDiscuss their current use and integration of technology across the curriculum,Discuss their understanding of behaviour management and curriculum differentiationShare areas of potential involvement in the school community through co-curricular or extra-curricular interestsAll candidates must be willing to comply with the Code of Conduct and the Anglican Ethos of the School and must be able to demonstrate an understanding of appropriate professional boundaries and standards when working with children and young people.
