VACANCY NOTICEPROJECT MANAGER - NEW DOCK INTEGRATIONA vacancy exists for a Project Manager – New Dock Integration. The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective execution and delivery of the project within the agreed schedule, while meeting or exceeding the approved Capex project budget. This is a one-time, time-constrained initiative, and the role will remain in place until both new docks are fully operational. MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: To ensure that the project is conducted safely in accordance with company procedures and processes.
To conduct the project in a manner that protects the environment and in accordance with Company processes and procedures. To be responsible for conducting the project in accordance with agreed schedule and budget. To keep, review and update as necessary the project risk matrix. To report weekly on all aspects of the project. To have due regard for the overall project RACI Matrix when communicating and reporting. To review weekly project resources and update requirements as deemed necessary. Adherence to all Company Policies and ProceduresTo share and promote our Company ‘Values’. QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED:
· A technical background with a minimum Higher National Certificate or equivalent qualification. Given the scope of work a strong knowledge of steelwork on large projects is essential. · Minimum of 10 years' experience in the ship repair or ship building industry. · Previous experience with operation and maintenance of floating docks. · Fully conversant in the techniques required for production/resource planning and budget/cost control. · A self-starter with the ability to operate on own initiative and with the capacity and motivation to frequently work indeterminate hours. · Strong leadership qualities, people skills. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
