Job Description

Job Summary: The Rooms Back of House Employee is responsible for maintaining clean and attractive guest rooms, hallways, and public areas in the hotel, in accordance with hotel standards and safety/security procedures. This position covers the responsibilities of Room Attendant, Turn Down Attendant, Houseman, Public Area Attendant, Uniform Room attendant, and Linen Runner. Job Duties & Functions: Provide exceptional service to guest rooms daily in line with hotel standards. Replace bed linens and replenish all guest room supplies. Ensure all steps of room preparation are met, including but not limited to emptying wastebaskets, Rearranging furnishings, drapes and room accessories.

Leave rooms in uniform arrangement as determined by Housekeeping management. Ensure any damage, safety risks, repairs, and strangers in assigned areas are appropriately reported. Ensure all lost and found items are appropriately handled in accordance with hotel policy. Respond to any projects or requests developed by the Housekeeping management team. Ensure keys and other hotel issue collateral is turned in at the close of each shift or according to the specific hotel guidelines. Restock the cart at the end of your shift and organize the linen closet to prepare for the next day.

Ensure that the lobby, hallways, public areas, both interior and exterior, are kept clean. Take out trash from all public areas in the hotel. Deliver housekeeping items to guest rooms upon request in a timely and professional manner. Assist with various responsibilities in laundry area, including washing, folding and pressing of linens and terry. Perform other duties as directed, developed, or assigned. Education & Experience: High School Diploma is preferred. 1 year of experience in a similar position at a luxury/lifestyle hotelA positive, hard-working attitude. Strong customer service and verbal communication skills.

Flexible schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed. Able to lift, push, pull and carry 30-50 pounds. Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time during shiftThis position is at a location where Hyatt is not the employer. The employer of individuals working at this hotel may be a third-party management company that is responsible for all employment benefits and obligations at this location.
