Job Description
Position SummaryThe Graphic Designer is responsible of creating visual communications that extend beyond mere aesthetics and involves understanding the target audience, the purpose of the design, and the context in which it will be used for advertising, branding, publicity materials and social media content.Essential FunctionsUtilizes various mediums, including print, digital, and multimedia, to produce a wide range of materials such as advertisements, brochures, websites, logos, and packaging. Collaborates with Engagement team, Talent Acquisition team, and other stakeholders to ensure that the final product meets the intended goals for CCS and resonates with the targeted audience.Creates marketing materials for use for a wide range of applications based on business and project specifications including: mailers, booklets, brochures, newsletters, banners, posters, flyers, emails, websites, documents, presentations, etc.Manages design and video projects from concept through completion.Researches, gathers, photographs, illustrates, typesets and produces visual content for projects as needed.Generates layouts, mock-ups and previews for all assigned projects.Optimizes and creates graphics for web and email communication.Works collaboratively and provides peer review feedback for team projects.Incorporates feedback and revises designs to meet project needs. Collaborates with the Community Manager to maintain visual cohesion across all platforms.Translates business information into compelling visuals (e.g. charts, graphs, informational graphics).Meets project deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality. Ability to maintain a consistent and regular attendance in accordance with an established schedule. Ability to work onsite/in-office and in accordance with CCS and department policies and procedures. QualificationsMinimum 1+ year(s) of experience with Adobe Creative Suite for digital design using Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator, demonstrated in an online portfolio is required.Minimum 1+ year(s) of experience in graphic design or related field is required.Business proficiency (writing/reading/speaking in English and Spanish) is required.Demonstrated proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat is required. Must possess a blend of creativity, technical skills, and an understanding of design principles. Strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively (verbal and written), and maintain professional working relationships.Proficient with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Outlook Access, etc.Ability to demonstrate consistency, accuracy, good judgment, follow through and attention to detail.Must promote a professional and positive attitude at all times.Continued commitment to professional education and industry best practices.Ability to be receptive to feedback, responsive to change and embrace continuous improvement.High emotional intelligence, intellectual curiosity and strong work ethics. Be self-motivated and able to deliver on assignments under the direction and guidance of the Manager.Exercise a high degree of professionalism and self-motivation, using personal initiative to identify and recommend best practices.Ability to multitask and prioritize competing tasks and deadlines.Education RequirementsBachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Advertising or related field required.
