As a Graphic Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual identity of globally recognised brands and helping our clients make a lasting impression in the market. What is in it for you?The successful candidate can expect:A friendly, supportive, and stimulating workforceWork with a wide range of well-known brandsPaid weeklyIn house café with great service and barista made coffee with great staff discountsWeekly training available to build knowledge & expertise in packaging/printOffice location close to public transport & onsite parking The RoleKey responsibilities and tasks in this role include:Design and execute custom packaging designs in a range of formats for a wide variety of clients and in-house projectsCustom dieline and template generationSet-up print-ready artwork for press and productionLiaise with local and international suppliers across multiple industries, including artwork proofing and approvalsCreative development of Logos and BrandingDigital artwork creation for multiple applications (eg. website, social media, EDMs/newsletters)Design across a variety of other channels including marketing collateral, promotional material, internal and external communications.SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTESA tertiary qualification in Design and/or relevant industry experienceHigh level of proficiency in layout, scale and typographyImpeccable attention to detail with responsibility for ensuring your work is without errors – have a keen eye and are comfortable to proof-check what you designPrecision in artwork set-up and file-saving in correct formats for print and digital projectsMaintaining consistency of brand identityConfident communicator, both written and verbal, who can contribute ideas as well as take directionSelf-motivated to work autonomously and manage time efficientlyOrganised – accuracy in file-saving and adherence to database management systemDemonstrated experience through portfolio of relevant workUnderstanding and interest in trends in Design and Packaging, as well as popular cultureSOFTWAREAdobe Creative Suite – strong Photoshop and Illustrator skills are a must!Using Microsoft Office in a PC environmentDESIRABLE, BUT NOT ESSENTIAL:Product photography experienceExperience with FMCG, Retail, E-tail, Skincare and/or BeautyUnderstanding of digital design for websites (basic coding/HTML/CSS/Shopify) and social media Motion Graphics or Animation experience (Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro)Copywriting skills will be looked upon favourably – we’d love to see some clever and witty words from you.We are located in Marrickville, in Sydney’s Inner West, and work together in a contemporary open-plan office space.
