Job Summary JOB DESCRIPTION Responsible for the development of layouts and designs for marketing materials across multiplebusiness units; participate in meetings to define strategy for campaign or deliverables; develop layouts and designs incorporating content from business unit; ensure budget for each project is adhered to, balancing quality deliverables and price; ensure consistency in branding across business units while maintaining each business units unique identity; design display booths for tradeshow usage; create concept and design for website layout working with vendors or internal contacts to code and develop website.Essential DutiesGraphic Design Function - Responsible for the development of layouts and designs for marketingmaterials for assigned business units, ensuring adherence to established corporate anddepartmental policies and procedures Participate in meetings to define strategy for campaign or deliverables ensuring a clearunderstanding of assigned responsibilities Develop layouts and designs incorporating content from business unit (e.g., brochures, casestudies, flyers, etc.) ensuring graphic design best practices are followed Define medium for each project (e.g., brochures, print ads, PowerPoint, etc.) ensuringappropriate review and approval by department management and/or client areobtained Ensure budget for each project is adhered to, balancing quality deliverables and price Update promotional materials asrequested Ensure consistency in branding across business units while maintaining each business unitsunique identity while ensuring corporate branding standards are followed Design logos for new and existing products and departments Maintain a current knowledge of graphic design/commercial art field and makerecommendations on improvements to management Design display booths fortradeshow usage, maintaining and updating signage as needed Create concept and design for website layout working with vendors orinternal contacts to codeand develop websiteContinually keep up-to-date on assigned business unit products and services in order to providequality graphic designProblem Resolution - Proactively oversee the activitiesinvolved in quality resolution ofproblemsThis job description indicates in general the nature and levels of work, knowledge, skills, abilities and other essential functions (as covered under the Americans with Disabilities Act) expected of an incumbent. An incumbent may be asked to perform other duties as required.Related to area of responsibility Respond with a sense of urgency to problems escalated to employee's level Escalate to supervisor any situation outside the employee's control that could adversely impactthe services being provided Place the highest priority on providing quality customer service by ensuring the unique needsofcustomers are met Ensure quality resolution and thorough and accurate documentation of customer issues Provide analysis and feedback to management staff and appropriate departments regardingrecurring problems, recommending improvements aimed at reducing future occurrences ofproblems Participate in creating, administering, and continuously updating procedures for resolution ofall related issuesProject Coordination - Coordinate, prioritize, and participate in activities associated withcompleting assigned projects or project task(s).Cooperate with team members to meet goals or complete tasks Provide quality custome rservice that exceeds customer expectations and improves level ofservice being provided Treat all internal/external customers, team members and department contacts withdignity/respect Escalate to supervisor any situation outside the employee's control that could adversely impactthe services being providedVendor Relationship - Establish and maintain a professional relationship with various vendorsandsuppliers. Manage vendor activities, including participating in vendor planning sessions to ensure thatvendors comply with specifications Coordinate vendor activities (e.g., negotiate price quotes, schedule due dates, production dates,shipping, , quality control, changes, etc.) in a timely mannerMental and Physical Requirements - -This position will be exposed mainly to an indoor office environment and will be expected toworknear or around computers, telephones, and printersThe nature of the work in this position is sedentary and the incumbent will be sitting most of thetimeEssential physical functions of the job include typing, grasping, pulling hand over hand, andrepetitive motions to utilize general computer software/hardware continuously throughout theThis job description indicates in general the nature and levels of work, knowledge, skills, abilities and other essential functions (as covered under the Americans with Disabilities Act) expected of an incumbent. Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted foreducational requirements.Required Skills Intermediate knowledge of Word and Excel required. Advanced knowledge of Mac platform required.
