About The RoleWe are seeking a talented and creative Graphic Designer to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. This role is pivotal in driving the strategy, expansion, and management of marketing efforts across various healthcare Quality Improvement programs.
As a Graphic Designer at the American Heart Association, you will be responsible for managing inbound graphic design requests, supporting branding initiatives, and creating compelling visual content that aligns with our organizational goals. You will lead all aspects of in-house graphic design, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop innovative marketing solutions that resonate with diverse audiences. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful health initiatives while working in a flexible, supportive environment. The role is grant-funded through September 1, 2026, with potential for extension based on funding and organizational needs.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in graphic design, marketing, communications, advertising, or a related fieldMinimum of 3 years of experience in marketing, agency, or related creative rolesExtensive proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.
)Strong conceptualization skills and ability to develop creative ideas rooted in researchExcellent project management, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to present confidently to C-suite executives, volunteers, and internal teamsMinimum travel availability of up to 5% per yearA professional portfolio demonstrating relevant work will be required during the application processPreferred experience includes expertise in visual storytelling, website and social media platform management, email marketing, webinar and webpage development, HTML/CSS knowledge, video production, and print asset creation. Familiarity with collaborating with product and sales teams is also advantageous.
