The RoleWe have a unique opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to join our team, focusing on Energy Infrastructure and Utility Services.
This role is ideal for candidates who are looking to grow their expertise while contributing to engineering and design support for both pre-contracts and active projects. Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the planning, scheduling, and execution of PV and BESS projects, assisting in alignment with project objectives, timelines, and budgets. Work closely with senior engineers and project managers to define project scope, deliverables, and resource requirements. Assist in developing engineering studies and reports under the guidance of a Project Design Manager or Senior Engineer. Utilise engineering software tools (such as ETAP, AutoCAD, etc. ) to develop drawings, models, and studies supporting design works.
Contribute to customer-focused project delivery, ensuring technical solutions align with client expectations. Support the integration of multi-disciplinary aspects within electrical HV infrastructure design. Assist in conducting power flow, fault protection, and earthing studies within power system designs. Provide technical input and knowledge-sharing for engineering decision-making processes. Help maintain quality standards for engineering deliverables, ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Stay informed on new and emerging technologies in energy infrastructure, recommending solutions to enhance project outcomes. Support the development and maintenance of design templates and engineering practices. Demonstrate commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards, ensuring compliance with regulations.
Skills and Experience5 years of experience in the functions described above. Demonstrated knowledge of the design, technical aspects, construction, constructability of Electrical MV, HV, Solar and Energy Infrastructure. A commitment to workplace health and safety, and environmental practicesBroad technical and engineering understanding of HV connection solutions, Power Systems and electrical networks knowledge, and the ability to develop concurrent solutions in complex decision environments. High level of written and oral communication ability, along with well-developed inter-personal and negotiating skillsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering acceptable for membership of Institution of Engineers Australia in the Professional Engineering category.
