Job SummaryThe Construction Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing all on-site construction activities to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality project delivery. This role is critical in managing large EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) projects within the Oil & Gas sector, with a strong focus on safety, compliance, and performance. `Key Responsibilities Develop and manage construction plans, schedules, and resources in coordination with project teams. Lead and supervise construction teams, ensuring safe and efficient execution aligned with project specifications. Enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards; conduct audits and manage incident response.
Oversee construction quality assurance and ensure compliance with engineering and regulatory standards. Monitor budgets, approve costs, and implement cost-control measures to stay within financial targets. Maintain and track construction schedules, addressing delays and providing progress updates to stakeholders. Manage contractors and vendors, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and contractual obligations. Proactively identify and resolve construction issues; make critical operational decisions to maintain project momentum. Required Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's in Civil/Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Masters degree and certifications like PMP, NEBOSH are an advantage.
Minimum 15 - 20 years in construction management, with at least 10 years in Oil & Gas EPC projects. Proven experience in managing budgets, schedules, and resources effectively. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage large, diverse teams. Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in construction management software (e. g. , Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project).
