Groke is working on the next generation of vision-based maritime situational awareness systems. We are looking for a sensor fusion engineer to join our team. You would be working on our situational awareness system to develop state of the art sensor fusion algorithms to fuse information from different sensor like video, radar and AIS. ResponsibilitiesMaintain and improve our robot localisation algorithms for ships based on GNSS, IMU and other sensor data. Work on algorithms for fusing data from different source like visual, radar and AIS. Sensor and system calibration.
The work will be done in tight collaboration with machine learning engineers that focus mainly on development of vision models. Your responsibility would be to ensure visual detections from the models can be positioned in the 3D world. Development of navigational assistance features based on the fused perception information. You will be able to influence the focus of your work based on your interests. QualificationsThe ideal candidate would have: A degree from a relevant field, e. g. computer science, signal processing or roboticsAt least a few years of experience developing perception or robotics applications.
Familiarity with sensor like cameras, radars, IMUs are an advantage. Programming skills in C++. Python skills are seen as an advantageFamiliarity with ROS(2) and some linear algebra package in C++. Familiarity with software packages like Eigen, OpenCV, PyTorch, Numpy would be an advantage. Familiarity with Linux and Docker.
