Job Description
As a Group Accountant, you will be part of the central finance team and play a key role in preparing consolidated financial statements and ensuring accurate, transparent, and compliant financial reporting. In a dynamic, internationally operating pharmaceutical environment, you will contribute to maintaining the financial integrity of the Group and provide reliable financial insights to support strategic decision-making. You will work closely with local finance teams and local tax advisers as well as internal departments such as FP&A, Treasury, Tax, and Compliance.What Your Day To Day Will Look LikeExecution of consolidation including intercompany reconciliations, eliminations, and foreign currency translationsProcessing of reporting packages from subsidiariesReconciliation and alignment tasks across group entitiesSupport in preparing annual financial statements under UGB and local GAAPsImplementation of Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements under IFRSAct as point of contact for accounting-related issuesEnhance and further develop consolidation and reporting processes; assist in the implementation of new systemsPrepare management reports and analyses to support decision-makingCollaborate with auditors, tax advisors, and internal departments (also for Legal Entities)Ensure compliance with IFRS, UGB, and internal accounting policiesYour Qualifications and ExperienceUniversity degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field and/or several years of professional experience in accounting, controlling and group accountingSolid knowledge of IFRS and UGB, and experience in consolidated financial statementsProficiency in consolidation software and MS ExcelAnalytical, structured, and proactive working styleHigh level of accuracy, reliability, and teamwork skillsGerman and English skills, both written and spokenOur offerAn open corporate culture with the opportunity to contribute your own ideasWorking independently in a collegial and committed teamModern working environment with good public transport connections (U4 - Heiligenstadt)Flexible working hours (flexitime/time-out days), bonus scheme, additional benefits and employee eventsStructured onboarding and support through a buddy systemGross annual salary provided for this function is a minimum of EUR 75.000.- based on full-time employment (38,5h/week).
