We grow, process and supply quality Australian-grown seeds, grains, pulses, stock feeds and food products from the highly productive and premium growing regions of southern Queensland and northern New South Wales.We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Group Accountant to manage the finance and accounting functions for all entities within the group.The successful candidate will relish a hands-on role in a challenging and complex environment.About the RoleBased in Brisbane and reporting to the Executive Manager, this hands-on role will be responsible for:· Managing the accounting function for all Group entities ensuring accuracy and compliance to accounting standards· Coordinating and completing any external reporting requirements such as ABS surveys and requests from other authorities· Ensuring BAS is reported and paid consistent with federal/state requirements and Group taxation policy· Assisting with the Treasury function across the Group· Reporting on the financial performance of all Woods Group entities to Executive Management· Management and Leadership of the external audit process· Providing Technical Leadership and Support to Accounting and Administration Staff About YouTo be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following qualifications, skills and experience:· Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Accounting· CA or CPA Membership· 5 years Industry Experience in an Agribusiness and/or Processing and Manufacturing Environment· Must have held a Senior Finance and Accounting Position Including Supervision of Accounting and Administration Staff across multiple locations· Must have strong communication and organisation skills· A working experience of MYOB or similar accounting software· Must have a Current Drivers Licence· Experience within a large, family-owned business would be an advantageApplicants must have unrestricted Australian working rights to be eligible to apply.We are an Equal Opportunity employer committed to providing a work environment that values diversity and inclusion.Please call Gary Bartlam on 0437704177 to enquire.
