Position OverviewThe Group CFO will act as a strategic business partner to the Group CEO and Board, leading the financial strategy, treasury, project financing, and governance across multiple entities and joint ventures. This role requires a commercially astute leader with deep expertise in treasury management, fundraising, capital structuring, and risk governance, capable of driving financial excellence and sustainable growth in a complex, multi-entity environment.The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing large-scale assets, multi-currency operations, and joint venture (JV) structures while ensuring robust financial control, regulatory compliance, and alignment with the Group’s long-term strategic objectives.Key Responsibilities1. Strategic Financial LeadershipDevelop and execute Group and JV financial strategies aligned with the overall business vision.Advise the CEO and Board on capital allocation, investment planning, and performance optimization.Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning across all entities and JVs.Build KPI-based dashboards and executive MIS systems for financial performance tracking.2. Treasury, Banking & Cash Flow ManagementOversee treasury operations, ensuring optimal liquidity, funding, and cash flow across entities.Manage banking relationships, credit facilities, escrow accounts, and intercompany funding.Lead project financing and fundraising initiatives, including debt structuring and equity placements.Establish frameworks for cash pooling, payment governance, and financial discipline.3. Project Financing & FundraisingDrive capital raising initiatives for new and ongoing projects.Evaluate investment proposals, ROI, and risk exposure for strategic ventures.Build strong relationships with banks, investors, and financial institutions to ensure adequate project funding.Support M&A, JV structuring, and due diligence processes.4. Audit, Risk & ComplianceLead internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with IFRS, Corporate Tax, VAT, and AML laws.Develop and maintain a Risk Assessment Governance (RAG) framework and Delegation of Authority (DOA).Implement financial control systems and ensure corrective action on audit findings.Conduct tax planning and regulatory risk reviews across all jurisdictions.5. Financial Reporting & ControlSupervise group consolidation, intercompany reconciliations, and JV-specific reporting.Ensure accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under IFRS.Design standardized financial policies and SOPs for all entities.Oversee MIS reporting, variance analysis, and budgetary controls for decision-making.6. ERP Systems & AutomationLead ERP implementation and digital transformation across the finance function.Build automation frameworks for reporting, approvals, and data-driven analytics.Establish system-based controls for payment authorization and financial governance.7. Governance & Intercompany FrameworkDevelop and enforce finance policies, governance manuals, and SOPs across the Group.Manage intercompany contracts, service agreements, and fund transfer mechanisms.Standardize DOA structures, ensuring consistency in financial approvals across business units.8. Leadership & People ManagementLead and mentor finance heads and managers across subsidiaries and JVs.Build a high-performance, compliance-driven finance culture.Ensure continuous staff development, succession planning, and skill enhancement within the team.Qualifications & ExperienceExperience15–20 years of progressive finance leadership experience.Minimum 10 years in operational finance (FP&A, reporting, compliance).Minimum 5 years in project financing, treasury, and fundraising.Proven success managing multi-entity, JV, or holding company structures.Exposure to large-scale assets (multi-billion dirham operations) and multi-currency environments.Education & CertificationsMaster’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration – mandatory.ACCA – mandatory.CPA / CFA / CIA – preferred.MBA / Executive MBA from a top-tier business school (e.g., LBS, INSEAD) – desirable.Technical CompetenciesDeep knowledge of IFRS, audit, taxation, and corporate finance frameworks.Proficiency in ERP systems, BI tools, and financial modeling.Expertise in treasury management, cash flow optimization, and project financing.Strong understanding of investment management, fundraising, and JV governance.Personal AttributesStrategic thinker with commercial acumen and attention to detail.Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.High integrity and professionalism in financial governance.Proven ability to work in fast-paced, multi-country environments.
