We are proud of our long-standing commitment to serving others and are currently on an exciting path of innovation and transformation as we strive to exceed the expectations of those we serve.ABOUT THE ROLEReporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Group Financial Controller plays a pivotal leadership role within the Parish, overseeing finance, business services, property, fleet, procurement and payroll functions.Leading a team, the position will drive financial integrity, compliance and strategic stewardship across our diverse operations.You will champion the adoption of modern financial systems and automation, building capability and efficiency across the organisation.This is an opportunity to partner closely with Parish leadership on major strategic initiatives — from capital works and property development feasibility to long-term financial planning and sustainability.This is a Permanent Full-Time role (76 hours per fortnight) based at the Parish.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESLead, mentor and develop a high-performing finance team focused on excellence and continuous improvement.Ensure accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance and audit readiness across all entities.Champion automation and technology optimisation to streamline workflows and enhance accuracy.Partner with the Parish Leadership Team to provide strategic financial advice and business insights.Oversee cash flow management, balance sheet performance and supplier contracts to support sustainability and value creation.Model and promote a strong culture of accountability, stewardship and alignment to the Parish’s vision and mission.WHO YOU ARECPA or CA qualified finance professional with tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Finance.Significant leadership experience in a senior finance role within a large or complex organisation.Proven track record in driving technology adoption and process improvement across financial operations.Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to translate financial data into strategic insight.Experience within the not-for-profit, aged-care or community services sectors will be highly regarded.Commitment to work in harmony with Catholic Values and PrinciplesWHAT WE OFFER OUR EMPLOYEESWorking for a reputable, longstanding, values-based organisation Relocation assistance availableA commitment to providing a responsive and supportive work environment  Salary Packaging options of up to $15,900 Tax Free, plus $2,650 Meals & Entertainment Card  17.5 % annual leave loading An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for you and your immediate family. As a corporate partner of Westpac, employees will have access to special offers, discounts and financial information. You will have access to great employee perks including Fitness Passport & discounted Allied Health Services, i.e., remedial massage, physiotherapy, exercise physiology etc. Paid professional learning and development Career advancement opportunities and study assistance for approved courses Generous employee referral program A focus on work/life balance and on your wellbeing
